We are children of the light because we have the light of Christ in us (John 8:12). We no longer live in darkness (1 John 2:8). If we can now see where we are going, why do we continue to bump into the furniture.

We are called to change in to the image of God (2 Corinthians 3:18). We change from the lost person moved by the shifting sands of the world to an individual resting on the surety of Christ’s salvation. Christ inside us helps us to become more like a citizen of God’s Kingdom.

Change is only possible with trust. When we trust God, we can have faith in Him. When we have faith in Him, we can submit to His will. When we submit to His will, He can use us for His glory. When He can use us for His glory, we can do great things for God.

All this is possible because Christ is light and there is no darkness in Him. He is light. He is in us. We are children of light. We perform God’s glory in the pure light of Christ. Our hearts should soar any time God can use us to glorify Him and His Son. Humility is enlightening.
