A bible conference by cowboys for cowboys.

Come join us for our fourth annual Cowboy Bible Conference hosted by Lander’s Grace Bible Church at 1290 East Main St September 19th through the 21st. Bill Trollinger (Pastor Wind River Cowboy Church, Riverton, Wyoming), Tim Ricker (Pastor Frontier Baptist Church, Douglas, Wyoming) and Jonathan Edwards (Pastor, Marysvale Baptist Church, Marysvale, Utah) will challenge our hearts with stirring messages from God’s Word.

Our theme this year is “God’s Testing Strengthens Us.” Our conference verse is 1 Peter 5:10, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

The trials we face in life are not without purpose. God uses them for His glory and our growth. This is sometimes more apparent when we are alone with a heard of animals than holed up on a ranch for the winter. Like the perfect Father He is, God wants us to grow strong, mature and develop into the image of His Son. We can only do that through great spiritual exercise which involves trials and tribulation. The first calf you held down to brand scared the dickens out of you. The 100th was just another day on the ranch. God trains us the same way. We have to face the danger of being kicked, and even get a hoof in the hip once and a while. Enduring trials steals our resolve to persevere through the next test. I know I learned something the day I walked behind a horse without letting him know. When I picked myself up out of the dirt 20 feet behind him, he didn’t blink an eye, but I learned a lot!

Opening services begin 7PM on the 19th. Services on the 20th and 21st are at 10AM and 7PM. We serve a pie social after the Wednesday and Thursday evening services. We provide a light lunch for all after the Thursday and Friday morning services. Pony rides for the kids are available before all services. Friday evening features a chuck wagon from the Rafter MG with Dick and Deirdre MacGill. We also have a horse training exhibition and auction Friday evening.
